TREATMENTS

Molecularly Targeted

Molecularly targeted therapy refers to any substance that blocks the growth of cancer cells. These therapies are sometimes referred to as “smart” medicines because they have the ability to attack tumor cells and spare healthy cells. Basically, there are abnormalities within cancer cells that dictate how the cell is going to grow and divide.

The medicines that have been and are being developed interfere with the process of cancer cell growth.
