Heather Schwenk, PA-C joined the Cancer Center of Sarasota-Manatee as a Certified Physician Assistant in April 2009.
Heather earned her Graduate Certificate in the Physician Assistant Program from Cornell University Medical College, New York City in 2001. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in December 1994.
From 2000 to 2001 Heather performed clinical rotations in Breast Surgery and Thoracic Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital - New York City; Breast Surgery at Moffit Cancer Center, Tampa; General Surgery, Internal Medicine Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics and Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Cornell; Obstetrics/Gynecology at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Queens; Orthopedic Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York City; Family Medicine at Trinity Medical Associates, Knoxville, TN and Emergency Medicine at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Heather is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Surgical Physician Assistants and Florida Academy of Physician Assistants. She has privileges at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and Doctor's Hospital.
Heather lives in the Bradenton area with her husband and two children.
