Kim Holt — My Breast Cancer Story
Forty years old, just home from a trip to Italy, Kim Holt was shocked to hear that the pain in her side she assumed to be a product of overindulging on vacation was a result of Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer. A pea-size cancer that began in her breast had traveled to her liver which was three times its normal size. Three thoughts immediately went through Kim's head: "Why me? How am I going to fight it?" and "Please don't let my twin sister have it." The perseverance in her second thought is partially the reason she is alive today.
