Hormone or Endocrine Therapy
- Hormones are naturally produced chemicals within the body that send signals to cells that will affect growth and division such as estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. Hormonal therapy is used to inhibit the growth of cancer cells by manipulating those hormone producing glands through administering certain drugs to slow the growth and spread of the cancer.
